Philipp Kuhlthau

Ten years ago, the bigger one of my smaller brothers visited Milltown for the first time. Together with the (in the meantime deceased) brother of our dear grandmother and a local he was wandering in the footsteps of Philipp Kuhlthau who left the old world in the 1840s to be the first Oberzell citizen to set his foot into what is now the United States of America. A couple of years later Philipp returned to bring his family to Milltown. Ten years after the first visit of modern-day Milltown I just contaced the local, thanks to my brother. Ten days from now, we will dive deep into a certainly fascinating history. Here a photo from Philipp Kuhlthau taken back in the 1860’s.

In case I should ever have a band – this will be the cover of my first record.
